MSC SCONA 70 (2025)
MSC SCONA hosts an annual collegiate conference that connects delegates from universities across the nation and the world. Each year, MSC SCONA discusses a different topic of national importance, giving delegates the chance to interact with the nation’s highest academic scholars, government officials, and well-known public figures. Delegates also participate in the debate through facilitated roundtables culminating in a policy paper competition. But, MSC SCONA is much more than a conference. For more than 65 years, MSC SCONA has brought students together, not just to discuss the important issues of our time, but also to form meaningful relationships with other students and future national leaders along the way. MSC SCONA is more than a conference; it is an experience of a lifetime.
MSC SCONA presents “World in Flames: Guiding America Through a New Era of Conflict” at the MSC on February 13-15, 2025
In recent years, we have witnessed a significant resurgence in global conflicts, from the invasion of Ukraine to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the rising militancy of cartels in Central America. These events underscore the urgent need to analyze the complex landscape of international tensions and America’s potential role in addressing them. At SCONA 70, our conference will delve into these pressing issues through five specialized roundtable “theaters,” each dedicated to a different region of the world. Delegates will engage in in-depth discussions to explore the implications of these conflicts and consider collaborative solutions.
